Once I found out I was pregnant, I had so many ideas and all the Pinterest posts that I wanted to do for our son's nursery! I first started with a forest theme, and it was that way until I was about 35 weeks pregnant! I didn't want forest animals, more of a forest theme with trees. Which at the time was really hard to find decor for with the color scheme I wanted. It seemed like everything was lumberjack! Now when I look, I find all the things I was wanting to find originally. Of course!
I was out shopping with my mom one day and stopped and looked at a mural. It looked like a wave. Right then and there I decided to change the theme to Hawaiian/Ocean. Hawaii has been and is near and dear to our family's hearts. So we got the mural... and as we continued shopping at that store and the rest of the day, we kept finding more and more decor that tied everything together. I had so much fun decorating his room. Just being in there finally brought me joy, so I know I made the right decision! Isn't it funny how much goes into putting a nursery together?
With that being said, I thought it would be fun to share how his nursery has turned out and share with you what items we decided on!

Nursery Furniture
Here is his crib - I loved the clean lines!
Everson's exact dresser is out of stock, but here is a similar one! I wanted to make sure to have 6 drawers (lots of storage space!) We keep pants, socks, diapers, toiletries, bibs and burp rags in here!
The dresser we chose didn't have a changing table, so we bought this attachment!
Swivel Chair is in the color "Flax".
Everson's exact glider foot rest is out of stock, but here is a similar option in the same "Flax" color! I like that the foot rest glides too, it makes it really easy and smooth to rock.
Nursery/Baby Essentials
The most important item in our nursery (for us) was our Newton Baby Mattress. This is because the mattress is 100% breathable so it gives you piece of mind when your babe is sleeping. Not only that, but it comes apart and you can wash the cover AND the mattress itself!
The Dreamland Sleep Sack is another favorite for us! It is a weighted sleep sack for babies.
During his sleep training, we were taught to keep multiple pacifiers in bed. Frigg Pacifiers are the only ones he will take - they're his fav! They come in a variety of colors and styles!
The Hatch Sound Machine is our favorite! We have one in the nursery and then travel with the Mini Hatch Machine!
Our baby monitor is Infant Optics. It is not a wifi-based system, which I liked for the safety aspect!
Living in the midwest, a humidifier in the winter is essential for us! It also helps with E's eczema! We use the Fridababy 3-in-1 Humidifier. We like to use the drops when he has a cold!
Some people use a regular trash bin, we like the Diaper Genie! It helps trap the smell of dirty diapers!
There are a variety of changing pads, but we used this one!
Decor
Everson's baskets are from HomeGoods and they no longer sell them. Here are a couple cute options for round wicker baskets! Woven Basket | Braided Basket
You can view our curtain rod and curtains here!
We did three shelves in the corner - mainly to put his monitor on - but ended up being super cute with decorations on it!
Here is the Snake Plant on his shelf!
The seashell ball is a fun addition to his ocean themed room!
Turtle Muslin Blanket draped over his chair.
This plant in on his nightstand on the bottom shelf!
Here is Everson's changing pad sheet! His crib sheet is unavailable. We do have this crib and changing table sheets that we use when we are washing his OG set!
There isn't a link available for his painting, but if you are doing a Hawaiian/Ocean/Surfer theme here are some good options! Surf's Up Wave Art | Catch A Wave | Set of 3 Beach Print (Not Framed) | Blue Ocean Abstract
